Cruise Season starts on a high note

Deep Water Harbor, Basseterre, St. Kitts, Tuesday 1st November 2016 – SCASPA achieved maximum berthing capacity on, Thursday 27th October, 2016, as three cruise ships graced our waters at both Port Zante and the Deep Water Habour.

To highlight the moment, two sister ships, Norwegian Gem and the Norwegian Getaway, made their grand appearances into Basseterre ports at about 8:00 a.m. along with luxury cruise vessel Celebrity Summit.

The Norwegian Getaway, Celebrity Summit and the Norwegian Gem, with their respective capacity of 3,789, 2,156 and 2,713 passengers, berthed at the multipurpose pier at the Deep Water Harbour in Bird Rock.

As is often the case when a ship is at the Deep Water Harbour, the multipurpose pier was transitioned into a vibrant cultural complex of Kittitian culture and splendor to welcome the passengers of Norwegian Gem.

The Sea Port Manager, Mr. Loui Hendrickson, has commented that the 2016/2017 cruise season has started with much vibrancy. He has emphasized that no effort will be spared to ensure the above expectations mark is achieved for our cruise season.

Port Zante saw its first inaugural call for the season from the luxurious MS Viking Star on Tuesday 25th October 2016.
