SCASPA’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Jonathan Bass and Chief Accountant, Ms. Tuffida Stewart along with industry partners attended the 2015 Routes Americas conference in Denver, Colorado and Sales Mission conference in Miami, Florida to pursue new airlift and cruise opportunities.
Both Routes Americas and Sales Mission are annual essential events that provide forums where countries and airline and cruise officials come together and meet in high speed, strategic, sessions to discuss new developments, business and opportunities within the aviation and cruise industries.
At Sales Mission, the delegation met with the major US cruise lines and updated them on the status of the second pier project, obtained feedback from passengers about their experience while visiting our destination and inquired about any changes to their deployment plans that will impact our destination.
“Based on our discussions with the cruise lines, indications are that the number of calls and passengers for the 2015/2016 season will be the same or slightly more than those for the 2014/2015 season. This is encouraging as we finalize plans to start the construction of the second pier during the first half of this year.” SCASPA’s CEO, Mr. Jonathan Bass.
The SCASPA team during the Routes Americas meeting promoted St. Kitts & Nevis as an attractive destination and explored exciting possibilities of having new airlines offer flights to the destination in the future.
