Twenty (20) Security Officers of SCASPA were promoted in a brief ceremony held in the VIP Lounge at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on January 20, 2014.

Mr. Raymond Cotton, Security Manager of SCASPA, shared that the officers were promoted on criteria that considered their level of productivity, efficiency, attitude, customer service skills among others.

Everette Mason, Assistant Security Manager, congratulated the Officers.

“Today is a step further in the direction which we are hoping to proceed. This occasion doesn’t end here in terms of your responsibility you have to continue to demonstrate good leadership and perform in a manner in which we will continue to see the good in you and propel you further than where you are today. We hope that this step in the right direction will help to motivate you and encourage you to continue to do your best.”

The Security Officers that were promoted included, SGT, Panthea Woodley, SGET, Dawnette Pennyfeather, SGT, Dario Isaac, Corporal Patricia Thomas, Corporate Icilma Bassue, Corporal Donna Clarke, Corporal Petula Huggins, Corporal Arthnel Jordan, Corporal Lyneth Prentice, Corporal Marilyn Cotton, Corporal Wilma Francis, Corporal Cauline Leader, Corporal Morlene Ward, Assistant Operations Officer, Jacqueline Belle, Lance Corporal Midlaine Douglas, Lance Corporal Darren Hazel, Lance Corporal Derrick Huggins, and Lance Corporal Kimberly Tyson.

The Security Department of SCASPA has been heavily investing in its Officers to equip them with the necessary skills needed to secure the Seaport and Airport. The Department will continue its focus on training in 2014.
