Bird Rock, St. Kitts – February 18, 2014 (SCASPA): Representatives of Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Dariusz Witko, Clarence Singh and Brian Abbott visited the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) to assess the airport security conditions, and conduct passenger and cargo air carrier station inspection of the US carriers.
For three days, the team toured the terminal buildings and access points of the airport; observed night and day operations, interviewed local officials regarding the Standards and Recommended Practices of ICAO and conducted air inspections.
Airport Manager, Mr. Elsworth Warner, indicated that the visiting team gave a favourable report, and that such a report is proof that the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport is fully compliant with International Standards.
“This airport inspection proved a success as it was revealed that our airport is fully compliant with International Standards. I am not totally surprised with the results given to Airport Management. SCASPA has been making great efforts to get everything done correctly at our terminal and when that effort is recognized and exceeds the standards, SCASPA is pleased.”
The team of TSA Specialists also visited the Vance W. Amory International Airport in Nevis to conduct passenger and cargo air carrier station inspections.
