Winners of the recently held SCASPA Best in Class High School Quiz Competition toured Carnival Splendor with exclusive access to the ship’s facilitates on May 29, 2015.
The contingent of ten from the Basseterre High and Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools explored the ship’s attractions including staff living and working areas, the theatre, and outdoor swimming pool along with restaurants. The students also interacted with key cruise officials and culminated the day with lunch aboard the vessel.
The exciting and educational opportunity provided the students with a deeper appreciation and understanding of the vessel’s operations and world of cruising.
“I want to thank everyone on Carnival Splendor for giving us this wonderful opportunity and we want to thank SCASPA as well. We had an amazing time. We are more aware of how a ship is and operates,” student of the winning team, Basseterre High School Dequan Bassue.

The Best in Class High School Quiz Competition is an annual educational event organized and sponsored by SCASPA to generate a greater interest in the operations of SCASPA and the travel industry and promote academic excellence.
