Blooming in pink is what many described the vast number of participants that trailed the path of Fort Williams Highway to Frigate Bay Lawn as businesses ranging from National Bank, TDC and the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority ventured into a lengthy but worthy walk with the Essence of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation on Saturday 17th October 2015.
Amassing a total of fifty-six (56) participants, the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority showed their support in this worthy cause where over twenty(20) of our participants were males.
Amoungst the many participants was the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, The Honorable Dr. Timothy Harris and his other colleagues.
In a brief conversation with a foundation member, she mentioned that this years’ “Color Me Pink” theme focuses on research into the causes, prevention, treatment, cure and other medical aspects of breast cancer. Moreover, they are considering making this an annual event, and not limited to breast cancer month in October. She mentioned that their desire is to ensure that all through the months and years to come we continue to support this cause and continue the fight to bring an end to this disease.
The foundation’s future aspiration is to collaborate with other global cancer foundations in the fight against this terrible disease while the ultimate goal of the foundation in future years is to establish a cancer wing at the Joseph N. France hospital.
The Essence of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a Non-profit organization, organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes.
