SCASPA Contestant Launched for Sugar Mas 45

Lights…Cameras…Cheers…and excitement are some of the words that best describe the festive activity of downtown Basseterre on Friday 18th December, 2016 for the Official Opening /Launch of Sugar Mas 45, where Miss SCASPA, along with other contestants, was lunched to the public.
St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) believes that cooperation, partnership and involvement in the development of our cultural heritage are vital to the overall development of the nation. SCASPA has displayed its commitment to carnival once again, but this time it has announced Ms. Nordia Demming – it’s Public Relations Officer – as its sponsored representative in this year’s Sugar Mas 45. Ambassador number 3 and an advocate against domestic violence, Miss Nordia Demming was officially sashed Miss St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority 2016/17.
Demming expressed that the Authority heeded immediately to her call for sponsorship and she was very excited to have received such a swift and positive response:
“I am extremely proud to represent the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority. I see this sponsorship as full support from my work colleagues. This type of support adds fuel to my aspirations, my talents and my desire to contribute something unique to St. Kitts.” Miss Demming stated.
Ms. Demming also expressed that this journey allowed her the opportunity to meet with different media houses in the federation, and most recently the opportunity to bask in the ambiance of royalty when the contestants were invited to the Local Youth Exhibition and unveil the Central Forest Reserve to the Queens’ Commonwealth Canopy at Brimstone Hill with special guest Royal Highness Prince Henry (Harry) of Whales, England.
For the month of December, leading up to the show date, the contestants are expected to make a number of public appearances including a church service.
The 2016-2017 Miss St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Queen Pageant is slated to take place on December 28, 2016, at the Sugar Mill, formerly known as Carnival City, on Victoria Road at 8:00 p.m.
