SCASPA participates in Tourism Customer Service Training Workshop

Bird Rock, Basseterre, St. Kitts (Tuesday 25th July 2017) – The St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) is a proud participant in the 2017 Customer Service Training Workshop for front line workers hosted by Tourism giants – St. Kitts Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism – from Monday 24th July to Thursday 3rd August, 2017.

With a total of nine SCASPA frontline employees from the departments of Customer Service (four participants), Finance (two participants) and Operations (three participants), this workshop is said to provide attendees with fresh and improved Customer Service skills; to boost confidence when interacting with visitors and passengers and provide a brief course on the rich history/heritage and culture of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

On Monday 24th July, 2017, the modules pertaining to Reception and Customer Service detailing were covered, while on Wednesday 26th July, senior personnel were exposed to the module specific to supervisors and Managers in the Tourism Industry.

This Customer Service Training Workshop was developed to cater to different strata in the tourism industry such as Servers, Bar Tenders & Aloe Rub Vendors, Reception, Customer Service Agents & Primate Petting Vendors, Hotel & Casino Staff, Craft Vendors, Supervisors & Managers, Water Sports Operators, Immigration & Security, and Taxi & Tour Operators
